Time flys when your having fun

As you read this short little blog there will be just a handful of days left of this years 5x50 Challenge. Where did the time go? It's is something we find ourselves saying from time to time. It certainly doesn't feel like I've been running (for the most part) for almost 50 days straight.

As someone mentioned on Facebook this morning 'wow, that went in quick' And it's true. At the start of the Challenge on the 30th March, I looked ahead and thought 'Can I do this? ' and for some of us, if the truth be told we thought 'can I do this AGAIN?' But it never fails to amaze me just how quickly the time goes by, for the 50 day challenge and just life in general.

At some points during this challenge I'm sure like everyone doing it, there were times when you could see it far enough. The night with hardly any sleep because the kids weren't well and you were back up at 6 to run, before heading to work for a full day. Or you got home from work and it was chucking it down with rain and the last thing you wanted to do was go back out for your 5Km walk. Yes, we've probably all been there and maybe you've got the T shirt too (if not click here http://www.run4it.com/shop/5x50/ ). The point I'm making is that the 5x50 IS a challenge. It's not meant to be easy but EVERYONE can do it with a bit of will power, planning and determination.

So now that it's almost over, I hope you can look back on your challenge with lots of fond memories and a great sense of satisfaction. You're almost there, 1 week to go and we can all give ourselves a pat on the back or maybe a Hi 5 would be more appropriate! Ok, we're not quite there yet but you've come this far it'll take something pretty brutal to stop you now.

ENJOY the last few days of your challenge, even if it is chucking it down with rain. I hope it has changed your habits for a lifetime and you'll keep an active lifestyle for the next fifty years. I know I will.
